My Educational Philosophy

I see teacher’s role in the classroom as a guide. Teachers should be able to take the natural interests and curiosities that students have and scaffold them on an intellectual level which inspires learning. Teachers should be able to set high, clear, and consistent goals and expectations, then guide and mode students so that can ultimately achieve success. I believe students learn best when the material being presented to them are at an appropriate grade level, it is relevant to the lives and most of all it has to be engaging. Also, their content based knowledge needs to be presented in a safe and comfortable environment. The goals for my students are to be at or above benchmark, a master of their creative abilities and ultimately critical thinkers and leaders and I believe all students can achieve this with the accurate support system. An effective teacher should committed, creative, and compassionate and they owe their very best. Teachers owe students their pledge to be lifelong learners. I became to a teacher to inspire, innovate and increase the educational development or urban students and residents
